Terms of Service

Last updated:

Mad Monk is a focus and task-management app provided by Md Ahad Hosain, an individual developer publishing on Google Play as Bengal Tiger Studio ("we", "us", or "our"). These terms explain the conditions for using Mad Monk. Contact us at support@madmonk.site.

The essentials: Mad Monk has free features and optional Premium purchases. Monthly and yearly plans renew until cancelled. Deleting app data is permanent; restoring a valid purchase does not restore deleted data.

1. Using Mad Monk

By choosing to continue with Google after being shown these terms, you agree to them. Please read our Privacy Policy for information about personal data. If you do not agree to these terms, do not create an account or use the service.

Use an account you are authorized to use and protect access to your Google account and devices. You must be able to enter into this agreement under the law that applies to you, or have the involvement and permission of a parent or guardian where required. Purchases must be authorized by the payment-account holder.

We give you permission to use the app for its intended personal productivity purposes. You retain ownership of your own tasks and other content. You allow us to process that content only as needed to provide features you use, such as cloud synchronization, as explained in the Privacy Policy.

Do not use Mad Monk unlawfully, attempt to access someone else's account or data, interfere with the service, or bypass payment and access controls. These terms do not restrict activities that applicable law expressly permits.

2. Free features, storage, and cloud sync

A paid subscription is not required to use Mad Monk's free features. Premium currently includes cloud sync and unlimited custom sessions; the purchase screen describes the benefits of the specific offer.

For free users, Mad Monk stores tasks and focus history locally rather than syncing them through the Premium cloud feature. Account and profile information still use our online services. Clearing app storage, uninstalling the app, or losing a device may remove that local data. Google sign-in by itself does not back up local app content. Android's separate backup or device-transfer features may keep copies depending on your device settings; these are distinct from Premium cloud sync.

Premium cloud sync requires an internet connection and a successful synchronization. Unsynced changes and device-specific settings may not be recoverable on another device. When paid access ends, Premium features become unavailable unless renewed or restored. The end of Premium access is not itself a request to delete your account.

3. Premium purchases and renewal

Android purchases are processed through Google Play. The offer and Google Play checkout show the price, currency, billing period, and any applicable offer conditions before you confirm payment.

  • Monthly and yearly subscriptions: the selected plan renews automatically and Google Play charges the applicable renewal price unless you cancel before renewal. Manage payment methods and renewal status in Google Play.
  • Lifetime Premium, when offered: a one-time purchase for the included Premium access with no scheduled subscription expiry or recurring renewal payment. It is not a monthly or yearly subscription. The purchase description identifies the benefits included.
  • Trials and promotions: these apply only when explicitly offered to you. Any trial duration, later charge, eligibility, and cancellation conditions must be shown with that offer.

Premium access depends on verification of a valid purchase. Pending payments do not grant access until completed. Google Play's verified payment, grace-period, expiry, refund, and revocation status determines the applicable access. Pricing or billing changes will follow Google Play's notice and consent requirements and applicable law.

4. Cancellation and refunds

Use Premium → Manage or cancel subscription in the app, or open Google Play subscriptions using the Google account that purchased the plan.

Cancelling renewal normally lets you keep access until the end of the current paid period. Cancellation does not automatically refund that period. Refund eligibility depends on Google Play's policies and applicable consumer law; these terms do not remove your statutory rights. See Google Play's refund guidance or contact us for help.

Logging out or uninstalling Mad Monk does not cancel a subscription. Lifetime purchases do not have a renewal to cancel.

5. Restoring purchases

If Premium is missing after reinstalling the app or changing devices, sign into the appropriate Mad Monk account and use the Google Play account that made the purchase, then select Restore purchases. Restoration verifies an existing entitlement; it does not make a new purchase or extend a subscription.

Expired, refunded, or revoked purchases do not provide Premium access. If verification fails, contact support rather than buying the same plan again.

6. Deleting your account

Go to Profile → Delete account, or contact support@madmonk.site to request deletion. We verify account ownership before processing a support request. Never send your password or verification codes.

The in-app flow asks for permission to stop renewal of verified Mad Monk subscriptions associated with your account and checks cancellation before completing deletion. If cancellation or deletion cannot finish, follow the message in the app or contact support. For an email request, cancellation must also be addressed; sending an email alone does not stop billing. You can check renewal status directly in Google Play.

Successful deletion removes your Mad Monk login, stored email, profile, and associated app data, and clears that account's saved data on the device completing the flow. It does not delete your Google account or Google's purchase records. Copies on other devices are not remotely erased.

If you return with the original Google sign-in and purchasing Google Play account, unexpired subscription access or a valid lifetime purchase can be restored after verification. Deleted tasks, history, photos, and progress cannot be restored.

Limited pseudonymous purchase-recovery records are retained to verify eligible restoration and prevent unauthorized claims. They do not contain your deleted email or app content. Subscription recovery records are removed after expiry during daily cleanup; lifetime recovery records remain for restoration. You may contact support to request their removal, which prevents automatic recovery through that mechanism. The Privacy Policy explains personal-data handling, limited operational records, and backup retention.

7. Availability and responsible use

Mad Monk is a productivity tool. It does not guarantee particular study, work, health, or other outcomes. Availability may be affected by device limitations, connectivity, maintenance, or failures in services such as Google Play.

We may update the app to improve it or address security and compatibility issues. Material changes affecting paid benefits will be communicated with any remedies required by applicable law. We do not use these terms to remove consumer guarantees or other rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Access may be restricted where necessary to address misuse, protect users, or comply with law. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and how to contact us. Restrictions remain subject to applicable consumer rights.

8. Changes to these terms

Updated terms will appear on this page with a new revision date. We will provide appropriate notice of material changes and obtain consent where required. Updated terms do not retroactively remove rights attached to purchases already made.

9. Questions and support

Email support@madmonk.site for account, purchase, or Terms questions. For purchase issues, an order reference may help us investigate; do not send payment-card information, passwords, or sign-in codes.
